Dr. Tracy graduated from Loyola University, School of Dentistry in Chicago, in 1969. He is licensed to practice dentistry in Illinois, Michigan, and Washington states. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry - Fellow since 1986, American Society for Geriatric Dentistry - Fellow since 1987, Washington State Dental Society, Pierce County Dental Society, and Puyallup Valley Dental Study Group.

He served in the U.S. Army Dental Corps from July 1969 to 1972. While serving in Viet Nam he operated outpost dental clinics and gained experience in providing mobile dental care.

After the three year tour with the Army, he set up his first dental clinic in Kirkland, Washington in 1972. The following year he was contacted by a nearby nursing home in Bellevue about examining their 60 plus residents and if he could treat them. From that time on he has been providing mobile dental care on Wednesdays to nursing home and home bound patients, along with running a full time dental clinic.

He moved his pracitce to Sumner Washington in 1974 and has been at the current location since 1980. He provides general family dentistry, including endodontic, periodontic, and advanced surgical procedures. In January 2004 he became certified in laser use for dental procedures using the Waterlase.

Dr. Tracy resides in Puyallup with his wife. They have three adult daughters, one of whom is a dental hygienist at the office. Aside from dentistry, his hobbies include woodworking and boating.
